Why it’s wrong to platform Russian scientists
Forging Russian state ideology and servicing the genocide state’s annihilation of Ukraine is wrong.
Two of the most important papers since William Jones announced the discovery of Indo-European languages were published this week.
In 1786 because of the affinity in structure, grammar and roots of verbs between the Celtic, Germanic, and ancient Indian Vedic and Sanskrit languages Jones theorised all Indo-European languages grew from a Common Source.
Now with the advent of archaeogenetics (the study of the genomes of ancient humans) and isotopic analysis (looking at ancient humans’ teeth we can assess where the food they ate while their teeth were being formed was grown), we know all living Indo-European languages were forged by Ancient Ukrainian Yamna community members between the Dnipro and Don Rivers.
Alas, the second paper published in Nature this week (which, importantly, suggests the Anatolian branch of the Indo-European language family stemmed from a community living between the lower Volga and Armenia) is marred by the inclusion of dozens of Russian state funded ‘scientists.’
These ‘scientists’ work for the Russian state in areas of Central Asia where Russia has been pillaging and destroying indigenous communities’ patrimony for centuries. The Ruschist state these scientists serve continues to send small-numbered indigenous people from the areas where they pillage Yamna graves to their deaths in Ukraine. A genocide wrapped up inside a genocide.
How do we know these scientists being platformed by Nature are complicit? Because in Ruschia today if you protest against its genocidal occupation of Ukraine, you are imprisoned or killed.
They also serve the state that has murdered hundreds-of-thousands of Ukrainians since February 2022, displaced 14m Ukrainians from their homes, vaporised dozens of Ukrainian cities villages and towns, and forcibly transferred at least 700,000 children from Ukraine into Ruschia where these Ukrainian children are being brainwashed into becoming future killers of their fellow Ukrainians (see the six warrants for arrest that the International Criminal Court has issued for the people whose ideology these Russian archaeologists loyally serve).
The first Ukrainian whom the Russian state forcibly disappeared from Melitopol was its museum’s Ukrainian Crimean tatar chief.
Then Ruschia forcibly disappeared her deputy. When neither would reveal where the museum’s previous Scythian gold artefacts were hidden, the Russians kept them in captivity before compromising another employee of the museum.
In the end Russia stole the gold artefacts and unlawfully removed them from Ukraine - to be shown no doubt in the Hermitage in St Petersburg along with hundreds-of-thousands of looted Ukrainian artefacts. This is the system these Russian state-funded archaeologists being platformer by Nature service.
Under Russian dictator’s orders Zaporizhzhia’s Stone Grave complex was mined and pillaged.
Ruschia now trains its occupying forces on this sacred, ancient site. Yet here Nature platforms Russian archaeologists and ask their opinion about Ukraine’s archaeological and cultural patrimony, as if they are not 100% involved in the annihilation of Ukraine.
Yamna mounds have been pillaged and destroyed by the Russian state these archaeologists serve in Mariupol:
Isotopic evidence from Mariupol necropolis features in these papers, yet the Russian archaeologist co-authors’ paymaster the Russian state is destroying further archaeological evidence from the areas under its occupation.
Meanwhile, the Russian state has created a vast new necropolis visible from space for the bodies of the 100,000+ contemporary Ukrainians it has murdered in Mariupol since 22 February 2022. Platforming ‘scientists’ complicit in the worst war crimes since the German Nazis makes Nature complicit in normalising these crimes.
Also in Zaporizhzhia, Ruschia has been occupying and destroying Yamna mounds at Vasylivka - an area whose ancient Yamna remains feature in the Nature published analysis.
(https://hub.conflictobservatory.org/portal/home/item.html?id=9c7aad5f890a45d5849d23499ebf8b16) while ancient statuary continues to be destroyed and stolen by the Ruschian state which the archaeologists Nature is platforming serve.
Soviet archaeologists destroyed many of Ukraine’s most important Yamna Culture burial mounds. They stole the artefacts and let the bodies we could today use ancient DNA to analyse decay. Museums across Ruschia are filled to the brim with Ancient Ukraine’s archaeological heritage that has been stolen.
The Yamna type-site in Mihailiav is being valiantly defended by Ukraine against this pillaging. When Russia blew up Novo Kakhovka dam, they flooded dozens of priceless archaeological sites and museums.
Russia and everyone who serves the Russian state is responsible for this pillaging and destruction of Ukraine.
So platforming those serving this entity the “Russian state” in the second paper is akin to platforming German Nazis in the 1930s.
Asking Russian archaeologists serving a state whose official policy is the complete destruction of everything Ukrainian (including its people, culture, patrimony, land and history) to opine on Ukraine is like asking a German Nazi’s opinion on the Torah.
I agree with the brilliant Western archaeologist here (the main author of both papers) that it is ‘sad’ that Russian archaeologists working for the State that’s executing Russia’s genocidal policies in Ukraine can’t work with Ukrainian archaeologists.
But there’s no ‘two sides’ to this.
Those archaeologists who served the German Nazi state in the 1930s should not be platformed in Nature nor should they be in important work like this.
It’s worth looking at Textyorgua_Eng work on how Ruschia uses academics’ both-sidsing in pursuit of its goal of annihilating Ukraine:
https://texty.org.ua/articles/114297/how-global-scientists-neutrally-aid-russias-agenda/
Nature and reputable scientists should understand EVERY state-funded scientist in Russia who is not dead or in prison is servicing the Russian Nazi state.
Ultimately, everything emanating from the Russian state is falsified.
Western academics are naive when they think they’re not being trolled into participating in Ruschia’s attempt to obliterate everything Ukrainian (including Ancient Ukrainian Yamna) from human culture.
If Australian archaeologists living in a free society are scared to debate esoteric archaeological questions, then how can the objectivity of ANY archaeologist servicing the murderous Russian state be trusted?
Until the imperialist Russian state collapses, collaboration between its so-called scientists and ours must cease.
Doing science in a state of terror is not something we should have anything to do with.
Ruschia even arrested the group of scientists responsible for developing its supposedly invincible hypersonic Kinzhal missile system - after Ukraine, using a missile defence system developed four decades ago, started shooting them down.
Now imagine how an archaeologist will be treated when the data undermines a century of Russian archaeological trolling - that the Yamna and Indo-European languages originated in Ruschia.
Would you trust anything emanating from such scientists’ research?!
Fortunately, not all Russians believe in fake history. Unfortunately, children are especially susceptible to these lies.
